Artwork Requirements and Tips

We employ many different processes at Awardco to personalise your chosen product. Each process requires different types of artwork, please use the information below to determine which format your artwork is to be submitted.

As we get hundreds of artwork files every day please, when sending artwork include the following information.

This information enables us to tie up the artwork with your file and process the order more efficiently.

When emailing artwork, file size should be limited to under 5MB.

Be aware that the larger the file, the longer the transfer will take, with multiple files you may break the emails in to smaller more manageable chunks, or use Winzip (PC) Compression software. Alternatively you can contact our Art Department for details of transferring large files.

Please Note:

Glass and Laser Engraving

Artwork is preferred in Vector format.

Vector Images (Line art) should be submitted in one of the following formats:

  • Adobe Illustrator v8 (PC) AI, EPS
  • CorelDraw v13 (PC) CDR

When originating on a MAC, please ensure you follow the format below:

Originate the artwork in Adobe Illustrator CS and Export as a Legacy EPS V8. Make sure that all of your text has been converted to Paths / Curves. Were ever possible email the file(s) from the same Computer the artwork has been created on.

If there is any placed artwork such as EPS, TIF, GIF, etc. ensure that these files are included in the email.

Raster Images (Bitmap) should be 600 dpi or better at actual size. Please submit these files in one of the following formats.

  • TIF
  • JPEG

Remember that ALL artwork should be pure black and pure white. Converting your images from RGB mode to Grayscale and then Bitmap will make the files considerably smaller in size.

Colour Printing on Glass, Acrylic and Metals.

  • Positives need to be actual size.
  • A separate film for each colour printed, each film needs to be pure 100% black.
  • Emulsion up for printing on the front face.
  • Emulsion down for printing on the reverse face.

For full colour process printing, artwork should be sent in TIF format actual size with a 15% bleed and a minimum of 600dpi.
